FHS World 2027, the hospitality industry’s leading investment summit, will return to Ras Al Khaimah in November 2027, with Wynn Al Marjan Island as its venue. The announcement, made on 1 October 2026, brings the event back to the emirate after it was held there in 2018 and 2019 under its former name, the Arabian Hotel Investment Conference (AHIC). Organisers expect around 1,200 delegates from more than 60 countries, making it one of the most significant business gatherings on the emirate’s calendar.
What was announced
The summit is being brought to Ras Al Khaimah through a collaboration between the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), Marjan and The Bench, the event’s organiser. Organisers expect roughly 1,200 delegates, including about 250 investors and 200 speakers, representing more than 60 countries.
The programme will cover hospitality investment, destination development, wellness and medical tourism, sustainability, innovation, technology and AI, branded residences and restaurant investment. Those themes closely match the areas where Ras Al Khaimah is currently expanding, from branded residences on Al Marjan Island to new luxury resorts and wellness-led developments.
Delegates will meet at the Celebrations and Events Center at Wynn Al Marjan Island, a 7,708 square metre space that includes a 2,633 square metre column-free ballroom. Organisers also plan an experience element, with destination activities across the emirate’s mountains, desert and coastline, including Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest peak.
Why it matters for Ras Al Khaimah
Phillipa Harrison, CEO of RAKTDA, said Wynn Al Marjan Island is part of a bigger growth story and that FHS World is the right audience. Jonathan Worsley, chairman of The Bench, noted that Ras Al Khaimah gave the event two strong editions and that the organisers are delighted to return in 2027.
The timing is significant. Wynn Al Marjan Island is due to open in September 2027, which means the summit will take place roughly two months after the resort welcomes its first guests. Hosting a global investor audience in a brand-new integrated resort gives the emirate a powerful showcase at exactly the moment its hotel pipeline is maturing.
Ras Al Khaimah currently has more than 8,000 hotel rooms with thousands more under construction, and the tourism authority has set out a plan to double room numbers and grow visitor volumes substantially by the end of the decade. A summit that brings hotel owners, operators, lenders and developers together in one place supports that strategy by putting the destination directly in front of the people who fund and run hotels.
It also reinforces a wider pattern of business tourism. The emirate already hosts investment and trade events throughout the year, and a large international conference adds weight to its pitch as a destination for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions alongside leisure travel.
The visitor and investor angle
Events of this size tend to fill hotels, restaurants and attractions, particularly outside the peak leisure periods. November is the start of the cooler season in the UAE, when demand for resorts and outdoor activities typically builds, so a large delegation arriving then can add to an already busy period.
For residents, the summit is another sign that the emirate is attracting international attention. For property buyers and investors, it indicates continued institutional interest in the destination’s hospitality sector and the branded residences that accompany new resorts.
What this means for visitors and travellers
If you are planning to be in Ras Al Khaimah in November 2027, book early. Hotel rooms near Al Marjan Island are likely to be in higher demand during the summit, so it is worth checking our guide to RAK hotels well in advance and comparing options across the emirate, including quieter areas away from the main event.
Leisure travellers do not need to be part of the conference to benefit. The destination activities planned around the summit highlight the best of the emirate, and you can plan your own version with our guide to the things to do in Ras Al Khaimah, covering Jebel Jais, desert experiences and coastal days. Our Wynn Al Marjan Island page follows the resort’s progress ahead of its opening.
Business travellers should also look at our RAK travel tips for getting around, visas and local etiquette, and consider building a few extra days into a trip to explore. Ras Al Khaimah is compact, and a few days around a conference can easily include a mountain morning and a beach afternoon.
Further details on dates, registration and the programme are expected from The Bench closer to the event. We will update our coverage as more information is released.
