What it’s actually like

The cheapest route to a private pool in Mina Al Arab

Jannah Hotel Apartments & Villas occupies an interesting position: it is in Mina Al Arab, next door to the Anantara and the InterContinental, and it will sell you a three- or four-bedroom villa with its own temperature-controlled pool at a starting rate around AED 165. Nothing else in that neighbourhood does that. For a group or an extended family, the arithmetic against two or three resort rooms is not close, and the seven unit types run from a 32 sqm studio up to a 680 sqm four-bedroom villa.

The reason to hesitate is that this is serviced accommodation, not a resort, and the difference shows in two places. The beach is a three-minute walk rather than a step off your terrace, and the guest score is 7.8 on Hotels.com — fair rather than strong, and typical of apartment properties where housekeeping, maintenance and check-in consistency vary more than they do in a managed hotel. You are trading resort service for space and a private pool. Know which you want.

Location

Mina Al Arab is the most desirable stretch of coast in Ras Al Khaimah that is not Al Marjan, and Jannah is in it, with marina promenade access on one side and the sea on the other. Your immediate neighbours are two of the emirate’s best-known resorts, which means you get the setting and the walkable promenade without the room rate. That is the single most persuasive fact about the property.

Be clear about the beach, though. The hotel describes it as a three-minute stroll, not beachfront. The Anantara and the InterContinental put you on the sand directly. Whether three minutes matters is a personal question, but it should be a conscious decision rather than a surprise. Our guide to hotels in Mina Al Arab sets out the full field. Dubai International is around 70 minutes away.

Rooms

Seven unit types, and the range is wide. Studios come in king and twin configurations at 32 to 38 sqm. One-bedroom apartments span 58 to 97 sqm, which is a large variation, so ask which end of it you are being sold. Two-bedroom apartments are 130 sqm. Above that sit the villas: a three-bedroom pool villa with garden view and an Arabic-style three-bedroom villa, both at 317 sqm, and four-bedroom pool villas with pool or sea view at 680 sqm.

Facilities

A private white-sand beach for guests, an outdoor pool, a gym, and Marina Spa for massage and wellness treatments. There is a 24-hour front desk and concierge, and direct access to the marina promenade, which is pleasant to walk in the evening and connects you to the wider Mina Al Arab development.

Dining

The property describes its dining as an international selection spanning flavours from East to West, but does not publish individual outlet names, cuisines or opening hours. We are not going to invent restaurant names, so treat on-site dining as an unknown quantity and confirm what is open when you book.

Who it suits

Groups and multi-generational families who need bedrooms and a kitchen more than they need turndown service. Anyone who wants a private pool in a good location and cannot justify villa rates at a five-star resort. Longer stays, where self-catering saves genuine money. Couples on a budget who want the Mina Al Arab setting from a studio.

What is good

  • Private, temperature-controlled pools in villas at a fraction of resort villa rates
  • Genuine space: up to 680 sqm and four bedrooms
  • Prime Mina Al Arab address beside two major resorts
  • Full kitchens, private beach access and Marina Spa on site

What is not good

  • Not beachfront — the beach is about three minutes’ walk
  • A 7.8 guest score; service consistency is the usual weak point in serviced apartments
  • Dining outlets are not named or detailed by the property
  • No published key count, and a wide size range within single categories

Value verdict

From around AED 165, check live rates. Do the comparison properly: price a villa here against the number of resort rooms your group would otherwise need next door, then subtract what a full kitchen saves you on a week of breakfasts and lunches. On that basis it is the strongest value in Mina Al Arab by a wide margin. On a like-for-like service comparison against the resorts, it is not close — but that is not the comparison most of its guests are making.

Who should skip it?

Couples who want to be looked after, and anyone for whom a resort holiday means restaurants, activities and staff who anticipate things. Skip it if stepping straight onto sand is the point of your trip. Skip it if you want certainty about dining before you arrive. A studio here is a good-value room in a good location, but it is not a five-star experience at a bargain price, and it does not claim to be.

FAQ

Do all units have private pools?

No. Private temperature-controlled pools of 12 to 24 sqm come with the villa categories, not with studios or apartments. There is also a shared outdoor pool for all guests. If a private pool is the reason you are booking, make sure you are reserving a pool villa specifically and confirm it in writing.

Is Jannah on the beach?

Not directly. The property provides private white-sand beach access that it describes as a three-minute stroll from the accommodation. That is different from the beachfront position of the Anantara and InterContinental next door. For most guests the walk is trivial; for anyone with mobility limits it is worth checking the route first.

How many units does the property have?

The total is not published. Jannah lists seven unit types ranging from 32 sqm studios to 680 sqm four-bedroom villas, but does not state how many keys exist in each category or overall. We would rather tell you that than quote a number we cannot source. Ask the property if the scale matters to you.

Bottom line

If you want a private pool in Mina Al Arab and you are not prepared to pay resort villa rates, this is the answer, and there is no close second. Accept that you are buying space, a kitchen and a good address rather than service, that the beach is a short walk, and that a 7.8 score means the experience will be decent rather than seamless. On those terms it is one of the better-value bookings in Ras Al Khaimah.

How this page was prepared

Desk research, not a hosted stay. Unit types, sizes, pool dimensions, spa and beach details come from Jannah Hotels’ official Ras Al Khaimah page, checked in September 2026, alongside verified guest-review data. Where the property does not publish a figure — total keys and dining outlet names — we have said so rather than estimated. Guest scores are attributed to their source.
